Granado second at Scott City

Javion Granado highlighted the Broncs wrestling Saturday at th3 39th annual Scott City Wrestling Classic.

Granado finished second at 157 pounds to lead the Lakin team.

The senior lost in a close final match, a 5-4 decision to Dawson Degood of Colby.

Granado (now 22-4 for the season) won his first round by fall in 1:29, and did the same in his quarterfinal round (4:47).

In his semifinal round, Granado won an 8-2 decision over Cayden Couchman of Scott City.

Zael Bermudez lost his opening round at 106 but won his next three matches in consolation before losing in the consolation semifinals.

Brennan Bless (120 pounds) went 0-2. Alex Luce (125) finished 2-2. Jesse Lancaster (132) went 1-2. 

Camden Bergkamp (150) finished 0-2. Tanner Tarpley (165) went 0-2. Timmy Johnson (175) finished 1-2, including a 10-8 sudden victory loss in the consolation round.

Kade Hartman went 0-3 and Owen Ostberg 1-2 in their rounds.
