Girls cruise past Sublette

The Lakin girls opened the game with a 14-0 run, cruising to a 73-11 win at Sublette Tuesday.

The Broncs led 24-2 after one period and 45-6 at halftime as they improved to 3-2 for the season.

Lakin’s offense converted 54 percent of its shots, hitting 24 of 44 from inside the arc and 7 of 12 from 3-point range.

Sublette, on the other hand, made just 9.5 percent of their shots (2 of 21 overall).

Lakin forced 45 Sublette turnovers, converting those miscues into 52 points.

The Broncs won the rebound battle, 26-16.

Reagan Chavira and Jara Davidson both had 16 points and Jordan McCombs added 10 to lead the Broncs attack. Both girls had two 3-pointers.

Amari Esquibel had eight steals and McCombs five. 

Lileah Villa had seven assists, McCombs five and Esquibel four.
