Golfers compete in Goodland, Cimarron

The girls golfers competed in their first 18-hole meet of the season Tuesday in Goodland.

Alli Meade finished sixth, firing a 94. 

Meade’s round consisted of a 46 on her front nine and 48 on the back.

Mya Brown finished 17th. The sophomore shot 114. Her front nine was a 66, but she followed that with a 48 on the back nine, a personal best for nine holes. 

Leading the field of 58 girls was Anna Starbuck of Colby, who shot 80.

The girls returned to competition Thursday with a 9-hole meet in Cimarron.

Meade placed fifth, shooting a 45. Brown shot a 60 to place 35th.

Winning score was a 37 from Starbuck.
