Boys track takes second at Hugoton

The boys track team finished second in the 13-team field at the Hugoton Invitational Friday.

The boys scored 130.5 points, finishing behind Holcomb’s 204.5.

Colter Oldham continued his dominance in the throwing events, winning all three.

The junior won the discus (171-9.5), the javelin (166-8) and shot put (54-0.5).

Ross Rider was a double winner, taking the long jump (21-10) and triple jump (45-5).

Austin Ritsema won the 3200-meter run in 9:56.89, and he claimed the title in the high jump, clearing 6-0.

Quincy Esquibel placed second in the long jump, third in the triple jump, and fourth in the 110-meter hurdles.

Javian Granado placed second in the pole vault, clearing 13-0.
