Wrestlers Fare Well in Larned

The wrestling team traveled to Larned Thursday and took home some hardware.

 

Lakin took home four second places, helping the team to a fourth-place finish among 10 teams.

 

Bly Gosch (138) went 4-1 on the day with three pins to place second.

 

Javion Granado (152) had two pins, going 3-2 for second.

 

Kade Lovelady (160) lost by decision in his title match, finishing second with a 3-2 record.

 

Dravin Chavira went 2-1 at 285, getting two falls to finish second.

 

Omar Gonzalez (220) finished third at 3-2, getting pin in his third-place match.

 

Josue Peraza (106) and Curtis Beam (145) both finished fourth, with Beam going 2-2 on the day, with a sudden victory in his third-place match.

 

For the girls, Josiah Ortiz (101-109) and Isabell Ortiz (115-120) both went2-0 to place first.
