The Lakin Bronc football team's season came to an end last Friday at Phillipsburg.
They lost 49-26 in the tough Bi-District game.
The Panthers scored three times in the opening quarter and led 27-0 in the second before Lakin got on the board when Allen Martinez converted a 3-yard run.
Servando Gonzalez scored on a 7-yard run in the third to cut the lead to 27-14, but Phillipsburg scored twice more in the third to pull away.Connor Hudson caught two scoring passes from Gonzalez in the fourth to account for Lakin's scores.
Leading with passes from the Broncs was Gonzalez with 61 yards on four completed passes.
In rushing, Allen Martinez led the team with 176 yards on 28 carries.
Kade Lovelady had 30 yards of receiving while Connor Hudson had 29 yards and the two scores.
The Broncs had a total of 19 first downs while Phillipsburg had 13.
The Broncs finished their season overall with four wins and five losses.
