Cross Country Competes at Greeley Co.
   The Broncs cross country teams took to the road last Saturday for their second meet of the season, this time to Greeley County.
   The boys finished third with 51 points, behind Scott City (34) and Stanton County (43).
   Lakin placed four in medals, led by senior Edwin Garcia's first-place finish in 17:36.
   Lawson Beymer finished second (17:46).
   Ty Davidson was 12th (19:26) and Dom Daniels 15th (19:31).
   All six of the JV . boys placed in the second 10 of their division, led by Tristen Cox in 11th, Anthony Ornelas (1th), Leo Shelden 16th, Eduardo Padilla 17th, Bode McCormick 18th, and Josue Peraza 20th.
   For the girls, Annie-Sophie Van Der Knaap finished 18th (24:37), Josia Ortiz 25th (25:37), Alondra Mendez 44th (29:22) and Kayleen Turner 49th (35:16).
   Two girls did not run, so Lakin could not field a team.
   Saturday's meet in Hugoton has been cancelled, but the team will make that up in Ulysses on Tuesday and in Stanton County on Saturday.
