LHS Scholar's Bowl Finishes the Season Strong

The LHS Scholars' Bowl team traveled to TMP in Hays last Thursday to compete in the 3A regional tournament.
The team missed making the final rounds by five points and did not qualify for state.
In pool play they finished in a tie for third place with TMP. The tie-breaker went to TMP since they had defeated Lakin by five points when the two teams met head-to-head.
“I was very pleased with our team's effort. We competed well and just missed making finals," said Coach Tim Blackburn.
This concludes the Scholars' Bowl season. The team brought home one first place, one second place, three third places, and one fourth place finish in the season.
Team members were Max Dunlap, Christian Blackburn, Jordan Garcia, Krista Scheuerman, and Bryce Landgraf.
“We will really miss the leadership provided by our four seniors, Max, Christian, Jordan, and Krista. Bryce will be the lone returning varsity member, but will be joined by several talented members next year,” coach Blackburn added.
