Lakin Hosts 1A-2A-3A Regional Wrestling

Lakin High School will be hosting Regional Wrestling on February 17 and 18, 2012, at the Lakin Middle School Gymnasium. Schools attending are: Atwood-Rawlins County, Cimarron, Elkhart, Ellis, Goodland, Hays-Thomas More Prep-Marian, Hill City, Holcomb, Hoxie, Lakin, Leoti-Wichita County, Meade, Montezuma-South Gray, Norton Community, Oakley, Oberlin-Decatur Comm., Phillipsburg, Plainville, Quinter, Scott Community, St. Francis, Stockton, Sublette, and Wakeeney-Trego Community
The schedule is as follows:
Session I – February 17, 2012
| Round 1 | Qualifying and First Round | 3 mats | Friday, 2:00 P.M. |
| Round 2 | Championship Quarterfinals | 3 mats | approximately 20 minutes after Round 1 |
| Round 3 | Consolation First Round | 3 mats | approximately 20 minutes after Round 2 |
| Round 4 | Championship Semifinals | 2 mats | approximately 20 minutes after Round 3 |
Session II - February 18, 2012
| Round 5 | Consolation Cross Bracketing | 3 mats | Saturday, 11:00 A.M. |
| Round 6 | Consolation Quarterfinal | 3 mats | approximately 20 minutes after Round 5 |
| Round 7 | Consolation Semifinal | 2 mats | immediately after Lunch |
| Round 8 | Consolation Finals | 2 mats | approximately 20 minutes after Round 7 |
| Round 9 | Championship Finals | 1 mat | immediately following Round 8 |
Admission on Friday is $6 for Adults and $5 for K-12 Students. Saturday's admission is $8 for Adults and $6 for K-12 Students. These prices are set by KSHSAA.
