Broncs defeat Heights in Final Round

The Broncs defeated the Southwestern Heights Mustangs 50-40 in overtime on Saturday to take fifth place at the Hi-Plains League tournament.
Lakin went into the fourth quarter down 32-28. They came back to tie it up 40-40 and send it into overtime.
They outscored Heights 10-0 in overtime.
Bryant Miller had 31 points followed by Reno Armstrong with 11. They led the team in points.
Lakin was 60 percent on free throws. Armstrong was 5-6 on free throws, all made in overtime.
Cody Kinnier had 12 rebounds followed by Armstrong with eight. Lakin had 35 boards total.
Miller was 50 percent on three pointers (5-for-10).
Lady Broncs Defeat Trojans in Final Round of Tournament

The Lakin Lady Broncs defeated the Stanton County Larks Saturday in the consolation finals, 40-30 to take fifth place.
Darrie Rogers led Lakin in points with 11, and Mariah Hill had 10.
Lakin made only 11 out of the 38 two-pointers that they shot, while Stanton County made 9-of-21.
With 11 rebounds, Megan Armstrong had the team high. Rogers had eight.
Lakin had a total of 37 rebounds, and Stanton County had 33.
