The High/Middle School Cross country Team traveled to Hugoton on September 15th for the Hugoton Invitational. This was the biggest meet yet and the runners proved their worth at this meet. The meet had teams from Oklahoma, Colorado and Texas competing. This was good experience for the team who saw many of the league teams that we will compete against in about three weeks. Unfortunately, injuries and illness has hit the team and neither the boys or girls team competed at full strength.
The girls were led by sophomore Julia Rosales who placed 14th in the varsity division. Brittany Root, Michelle Lynch, who was fighting some stomach illness, Sarah Leach, and Nikki Pentheny rounded out the varsity team.
In the boys division, Zac Anthony once again led the boys with a 7th place finish. Christian Garcia also medaled for the Broncs placing 20th. The varsity team was made up of Kayson Matthews, Bryce Koehn, Victor Moreno and Manuel Lujan.
The girls' team place 5th, while the boys' team placed 6th.
The middle school runners were led by Julian Enriques and Myra Duenos who placed 9th and 14th in their division.
