Consequences for Excessive After School Detentions

September 13, 2006

1. A student, who receives his/her fifth (5) after school detention, will result in an in-school suspension.

2. A student, who receives his/her 10th after school detention, will result in an in-school suspension and will be required to write an essay on the topic chosen by the principal.

3. A student, who receives his/her 11th after school detention, will result in a meeting with the parent(s), teachers, school counselor, and principal, to develop an intervention plan.

4. Excessive after school detentions could result in Out of School Suspensions as determined by the school team.
