LMS Eligibility Policy

adopted 2006-07 school year

September 13, 2006

All middle school students wishing to participate in school activities outside and during the school day will be required to meet academic standards checked quarterly.

Quarterly eligibility will be based on the nine weeks grade for the first and third grading period and the semester grade for the second and fourth grading period. Students who become ineligible will remain ineligible until the end of the next grading period. Students at the middle school level will be required to pass 7 classes. It will be the student's responsibility to inform parents of the eligibility situation. Students able to become eligible during activity season will be allowed to practice with the group.

This policy will be enforced for all school-sponsored activities including but not limited to athletics, cheerleading, vocal and band performances, forensics meets, quiz bowl competitions, conferences, and dances.
