The Stampede will be held Saturday, April 21, starting at 6 p.m. at the Kearny Country Fair Building.
Only people 21 years old and over are admitted to this event.
This is a fundraiser for the entire athletic department so that all teams do one fundraiser for next year's teams all at one time, Schmitt said.
All of next year's athletes have four tickets to sell. Each ticket is $40.
The ticket gets each person into the event, which includes a dinner, a t-shirt and 20 raffle tickets.
The raffle tickets can be used to bid on auction items, which are donated from businesses in the surrounding area.
Tables will be spread out with the items on them. Each item will have a box for the tickets. The person will write his or her name on each ticket and drop as many as they want into an item's box.
At the end of the night, a drawing from each box will be held and the winning ticket announced.
Raffle and auction items are by cash or check only. No credit or debit cards will be honored.
The coaches, like Mr. Pollart and Mr. Shelden, who helped distribute ticket packets to students, helped plan this event and gathered auction items.
