Wrestlers seventh at Scott City

The Lakin Broncs wrestling team traveled to Scott City last Saturday, finishing seventh as a team with three individual medalists.
Placing first in the 285 division, sophomore Hadley Panzer won all of his matches, starting off with a first bye in the first round.
In the quarterfinal Panzer won by a fall 12-7 with the time of 1:50.
In the semifinal Panzer won by another fall 11-5 with the time of 3:33.
On his first place match Hadley won by decision 4-3.
Johnney Perez and Kayden Christensen both placed second in their weight class.
Perez placed second in the 145 weight class.
In the first round he won by a fall with the time 4:24 and did the same i
n the quarterfinal (1:48)
. In the semifinal he won by major decision by 11-2.
In the first place match Hunter Fitzpatrick of Larned won by decision over Perez, 6-5.
Christensen placed second in the 152 weight class.
In the first round he started off with a bye, and in the quarterfinal he won by a fall at 1:00
In the semifinal he won by a decision, which was 2-1.
In the first place match Bradan Slemp of Hugoton won by decision over Christiansen, 3-2.
Winning at least one match were Tito Tristan (120), Kade Lovelady (132), Jose Padilla (195), Angel Hernandez (220) and Erick Moreno (285).
Also competing at the tournament was Nathan Reimer (106), Zach Rein (138), Ethan Campbell (138), and Dawson Aller (182).
The Lakin Broncs wrestling team placed seventh out of sixteen teams.
the team travels for a duel at Holcomb and on Friday
they travel to Hays for a two-day tournament.
